How WorkshopSafe handles the details you give us. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Who we are
WorkshopSafe is run by Rendigo Tech LLC, a company registered in New Hampshire, in the United States. In this notice, “we” means Rendigo Tech LLC. WorkshopSafe is offered to businesses in Australia, so we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
The demo form
To open the demo, we ask for your name, email address and phone number, and your business if you want to give it.
- Why: to follow up with you about WorkshopSafe, personally. We don’t add you to a marketing list, and we don’t share or sell your details.
- How long: we delete your details two years after your last visit to the demo.
- What else: we don’t keep your IP address or browser details. We count how many times you’ve opened the demo, and when.
Which link brought you here
We note which link brought you here (for example Instagram), to know which of our posts help. Some of our links carry a short tag for this, kept in a cookie on this site for 30 days. If you then open the demo or start a free trial, we save the tag with your demo details or your new site. It’s only the tag: nothing else about you or your browser.
How you heard about us
When you start a free trial, we ask how you heard about WorkshopSafe (for example a search, Instagram or a friend), and you choose an answer before your site is set up. We keep the answer with your new site and use it only to see which of our marketing works.
Prices in your currency
We work out which country you’re in from your IP address and your browser’s language setting, only to choose the currency we show prices in. Neither your IP address, your browser’s language nor your country is stored with your details.
IP geolocation by DB-IP.
Using WorkshopSafe
A business using WorkshopSafe keeps its safety records in it: its equipment, checks, incidents, and the people who work there. That business decides what it records, and controls those records. We hold them on its behalf, to run the service, and don’t use them for anything else.
Some details are kept private within the business: a person’s date of birth, mobile, home address and emergency contact are seen only by the people there who manage staff, and health monitoring results only by those the business allows.
Where it is kept
Details are kept on secure servers run by our hosting provider. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. The same sign-in is shared with AutoShopMate, so one account opens both. Emails are sent through SendGrid, and payments are handled by Stripe. We’re a US company, so your details are held in the United States. These services may also store them in other countries.
Paying for WorkshopSafe
- Your card: when a business subscribes, Stripe takes the card details, billing name and billing address. We never see or keep the full card number.
- Business or consumer: we ask whether you’re a GST-registered business buying WorkshopSafe for the business, or buying as a consumer. A business gives its ABN. We check it against the Australian Business Register (ABN Lookup) when you enter it, and again before each payment. We do this to show whether GST applies to the sale.
- What we keep: your choice and the exact words you ticked, who ticked them and when, the ABN, the date and result of each check, the billing address and country, and your IP address when you made the choice and at checkout.
- How long: we keep this record for seven years after the subscription ends, so we can show how each sale was taxed. It stays for that time even if the site is closed. Then we delete it.
- Emails: the site’s owner gets billing emails, for example about a failed payment, a price change, or an ABN check that didn’t go through.
